Hey there! I'm Morgan VanYperen, a software engineer and educator, the author of this sweet, sweet blog. Thanks for reading, friend! Years ago, I transitioned from studying mathematics education to a fulfilling career in software development and tech education. I most recently worked as a Software Engineer and Instructor at Flatiron School, where I combined my love for coding with my passion for education. In this role, I developed and maintained curriculum for full-stack web development courses, taught complex programming concepts to aspiring developers, mentored students and provided code reviews to enhance their skills.
Outside of work, I'm happily married to my wife Ashley, who has been a licensed, practicing marriage and family therapist for several years now. She's the best and really talented at what she does. We have two adorable dogs: Martin, a toy poodle named after my childhood hero Martin Luther King Jr., and Luna, our little Chihuahua we 'adopted' more recently. I'm an avid podcast listener and always eager to learn new things in the tech world.
